Lumadex 0.6.97: Luma in the command bar

Type Luma and a question. Answers come from your project, the manual and the engine, typeset as mathematics with the working available.

Luma answering a lighting question in the Lumadex command bar

Lumadex 0.6.97 brings Luma into the command bar. Type Luma and a space, ask a question and Luma answers from the open project, the user manual and the calculation engine.

Worked answers

Results are written as typeset mathematics: fractions on one line, units beside their values and the working one click away. When a formula needs values, Luma asks for each one with its unit. A worked formula such as the point illuminance from intensity and distance can be inserted with a field for every input.

Symbols and equations

The symbol library holds Greek letters, operators, units and every lighting formula as a template. Typing a quantity name in a formula replaces it with its symbol, so flux becomes Φ, while a question in words keeps its words. The lighting module adds efficacy, reflectance, luminous flux and nadir angle, with templates for the lumen method, uniformity and room index.

Model space fitted to a drawing

Road devices, roads, stairs, ramps and landings can now be fitted to a drawing in model space, with straight edges and true arcs and grips for every vertex, edge and arc.

We would welcome the chance to take your team through Lumadex against the Standards you design to. Draw the area and see the first calculation before the survey arrives.
